Below, a gentle white light illuminated a small clearing deep within the woods. At this clearing, a large hill stood surrounded by trees, covered in a dense, heavy fog. Upon this hill stood nine tall stones with decorative carvings depicting a woman with a moon above her head. In front of these stones, in total silence, also stood nine mysterious figures cloaked in black. This strange scene was part of something ancient. Something beyond time itself, incomprehensible to most, except for those who studied the arts of summoning the divine. Suddenly, the silence was broken by the souls that stood there upon that hill as they began to chant a bizarre and eerie melody in a language unknown to all but them. As their tune intensified, the gentle breeze that graced this otherworldly scene strengthened. The surrounding trees swayed back and forth as flocks of nightingales flew away over the branches. It was as if they knew something monumental was about to occur… As the cloaked figures continued their invocation, the clouds began to break and revealed a shining white light. Legends tell of the Summoning of the Lunar Goddess - how for centuries, through ceremony and ritual, these obscure, cloaked figures had tried to invoke her and finally, tonight, they succeeded. This shining white light now descended from above and grew in size and shape. After a time, it faded to reveal the most divine figure of a woman the Earth had ever witnessed. Her skin glowed with the essence of the moon as she towered, colossal in size, high above the trees into the clouds; a giantess amongst mere mortals. The cloaked figures, now standing small and helpless at her enormous feet, their heads barely reaching the tops of her lofty toes, cowered before her as they feared for their lives. They had no idea as to the power they had unleashed. To them, she was a Goddess; a true divine being on Earth but to Her, these tiny little creatures were nothing - their lives of no consequence or value. “Bow down to your Goddess”, she said with complete authority. They all obeyed and bowed before her in worship without hesitation. She smiled. As the moon behind her grew, she raised her foot above them, casting a shadow over their miniature bodies, darkening their world. They began to panic. “Pathetic little specs of nothing”, she said, laughing, as she slowly lowered her foot down. They got up to run but before they could even do so, she lowered her foot down once more and cr*shed them all, mercilessly, in one effortless move. She twisted her foot into the ground, mushing their frail little bodies into the Earth, moaning with satisfaction and pleasure. She then walked away, gracefully, with each footstep causing the ground to shake as if there were an earthquake. And once she was gone, the only thing left in her wake were the lifeless bodies of her former worshipers, stuck in the imprint left in the ground by her gigantic foot… Writen and edited by @u357441067
