Golden Oldies Part 1!
My old YouTube channel which was over a decade old was shut down by YouTube and to this day has “sexual content violation” stamped across the url.
Every single one of these videos was considered explicit by YouTube and they even deleted a number of them.
Some savvy underwater fans had actually stolen the content and put it up for everyone to download for themselves. Not only was YouTube cutting me from ad revenue, but fans were encouraging people to watch my content offsite.
One of the reasons I stopped doing underwater content for many years was this reason. My hobby felt like I was being eye-r4ped, there was literally no reward for me sharing my content - only punitive deletions, strikes, and entitled “fans” demanding for more.
I could not share my fun, without being reprimanded and demonitized. I was no longer able to host on a free site. So I moved over to Patrëon, paid for private hosting, and became free with my art after a 4 year absence from YouTube. My YT channel was then shut down, I couldn’t even promote my Patrëon without earning strokes.
Unfortunately I had to let go of my paid hosting- I could no-longer afford it, and I had lost all my old content. But for some fans on an underwater forum, distributing my banned content - I was able to save a few of my films.
I have hours of retrieved content, some of it will be remastered from the raw rushes I located from cloud backup. I will be sharing all my old content here since OF does a great job of protecting my hobby and sanity, by taking their cut from all tips and pledges - saving me the cost of video-hosting.
Thank you for your support! Without which I cannot afford the multitude of resources to make more beautiful content, and my hobby disappears back into my own private unseen world.
I am not bitter for any of this as it was just a learning curve on what is expected of “free sharing sites” which really isn’t the place for creative producers like myself. Their rules pretty much clearly state that, but many who ask for this type of content do not know they are demanding that I break YouTube rules at the cost of my Channel.
