🕑 Added 2020-09-24 17:55:29 +0000 UTC We’ve all heard breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Over time that idea has become to be challenged more & more - especially with intermittent fasting becoming more popular. The fact of the matter is that we have conflicting research data and we will have to continue doing studies on this topic. Another major factor is all of our bodies respond differently. The neat part is that we can try different things and see how it makes us feel (things that are safe of course.. if you want to do something more serious I recommend getting the guidance of a health professional). In this instance you can try eating breakfast at different times or not until lunch and compare. From there you can try different types of breakfasts like a high protein vs a more carb/protein balanced bfast. For me personally, I do best when I eat in the morning. It helps me focus and think more clearly/sharper. The point is though.. is to listen to your body 😊 this will help you practice mindful eating! On days I don’t feel like making something or don’t have a huge appetite (typically in summer/fall), I like to make something light. A hard boiled egg, grapes (any fruit) & walnuts to help get my day going! Since this is so light I will be eating more in an hour or so, but smaller meals/ snacks are what work for me. Sometimes I don’t want breakfast, but know it will make my day that much better so I start with something small and it helps me eat better throughout the day. Hope this helps :)
