Happy Juneteenth! Today we celebrate the end of slavery in the US, a great milestone. However slavery does still exist under the 13th amendment. The US has the highest incarceration rate per capita in the world. Private prisons encourage this system to exploit labor. The Sentencing Project aims to educate on and reform our prisons.
