My friend @poetrising reminded me of Celtic "Omen Days" which are the days between Christmas and the New Year.
The time leading up to the Solstice was of course a time of magic and transition, but what about this week following? It's said that the days between Christmas and the start of the new year are a *time-out-of-time.*
"They’re a liminal space—where you aren’t quite done with the previous year, but the new cycle has yet to begin..." This feels correct.
It's common to feel a bit in limbo during this time. And best to reduce workload, and instead rest, feast, and dive into ritual.
I was already planning to allow myself time to nest and hibernate a little, so this matches exactly where I'm at. Now that the bulk of the 'busy holiday' is over, I plan to harness my energy for a bit longer before I emerge again.
Of course I'll still be here a bit in this time 'off' - but I'll be mostly continuing to share past work/content until I'm ready to begin again come early Jan. :)
Where are you at? Anyone care to share?
