I walked down the beach just a few steps, & this was a rocky area, looked down, & there was my phone faced down in the sand! It still worked, but there wasn't much battery time left. It died quickly & even after drying it out in one bag rice, I couldn't charge it. Took it to the Apple store & they checked it out & cleaned it & now I'm good to go!!!
