Sorry for not updating for a while. I have arrived in Japan🇯🇵 This time, it was actually the worst expedition ever. First of all, I was supposed to go from Japan to Newark via Detroit. But when I arrived in Detroit, it snowed heavily! So we were delayed. After waiting for hours, the flight was canceled. It was 10pm on a Friday there. The show was the next day and I needed to be at the venue by 6pm at the latest, but the flight that was changed to one leaving at 8pm! I will not make it in time! I went to talk to the staff but there was a very long line. This was my first time in this case and I didn't know what to do, it was so stressful. I did my best to wait and asked the staff member in childish English. Then he told me that there is only 8pm flight tomorrow. I talked to the owner of GCW about it and the owner was heartbroken too 😂 I decided to just go get my suitcase and waited for hours but the suitcase never appeared😂 At this point the time was over 11pm. There was also a long line at the counter regarding suitcases and I waited for about an hour. They told me it was ok because they would take my suitcase on the changed flight (8pm to Newark). Next I wondered if I should go to a hotel. Do I sleep at the airport or go to a hotel? All the hotels were full and the only place I could find was an hour away from the airport. But I have a bitter memory of losing my cell phone in the US. If I slept at the airport and something was taken, it would be even worse. I was too sleepy and my head hurt, but I made up my mind to go to the hotel. I called Uber Taxi. There are about three places where cars stop, I didn't know where the cab I called was, I was too tired to understand English, and I missed the cab. This is where I really broke down and almost cried😂 I was hungry and cold 😂 Then once I sat down on a chair and took a break, I calmed down again and called for a cab. This time I was able to get a ride and arrived at the hotel at 4am. When I woke up in the morning my flight had been changed again and I was on a flight to Newark at 2pm. I was relieved to know that I could make it to the show just in time. When I was checking in, the owner of GCW had changed my flight from Newark to Philadelphia 😅 The staff told me yesterday that my suitcase was on the flight going to Newark, so I knew my suitcase would not be delivered to Philadelphia. I arrived in Philadelphia and as expected, the suitcase did not arrive. So the GCW staff went to Newark to pick it up 😭 Thank you! My suitcase and I managed to arrive 30 minutes before the venue and the game started. My heart was racing the whole time I arrived and my hands were sweating the whole time. I never want to have this kind of trouble again 😂 I'd better give myself a little extra time to travel to the US in cold weather in case there's trouble 😭. The flight home was smooth.
