I’m spending time with my family, secured an apartment, started seeing a therapist, went dancing, ate all my favorite Colombian food and of course practicing my spanish all the while. next weekend I fly back home and will finish moving out of my house. my plan is to let myself enjoy some more nomadic freedom for the end of the summer, I want to go visit my friends in Spain and Portugal ~end of September and maybe even stay till my birthday (10/10). I also booked myself 2 weeks in Portland OR for end of October, to spend some more time with my baby cousin before I move to Colombia. my flexible month-month lease here will start Nov. 1st. ✨ of course I’m nervous to move, but it *feels right*. for years I’ve stayed here for a 3-4 weeks at a time, just enough to get a taste for thinking in spanish… this year I’m excited to spend 3-4 months and really immerse myself in the language and latin culture. necesitaba un cambio, así que lo estoy haciendo. 💪🏼✨
