Since Iโm on a proper vacation, yesterday I decided to spend a week in another amazing hotel!๐๐ฅฐ
I think the photos from here are going to turn out even cooler!๐ฐ๐ธ
Plus, they have a private beach thatโs only accessible to hotel guests. And the grounds are super lush โ there are even bushes shaped like elephants, haha!๐
The breakfast here is fabulous too! Iโm loving the vegan Banh Mi, and the local chef makes crรชpes for me using dairy-free batter. Sometimes I treat myself to mango or raspberry sorbet for breakfast as well!๐๐
I visited the Coconut Prison! Itโs a museum not far from the hotel โ we rode bikes there with a guide!๐ดโโ๏ธ
The prison was built in 1949 by French colonialists and was later used during the Vietnam War to detain captured Viet Cong and Northern soldiers. The conditions were absolutely horrific, and the museum features a lot of torture scenesโฆ๐คฏ
The museum itself is basically several original prison blocks โ a pretty intense and eye-opening experience๐ข
When youโre vacationing in the tropics, places like this arenโt the first thing that come to mind. Definitely donโt want to end up in a tropical prison, haha!๐
After the prison, we stopped by a fish sauce factory! I didnโt try any, but the preparation process was fascinating! From what I gathered, it was mainly a show wing โ a way to get tourists to buy some fish sauce to take home, haha!๐
