BOWSETTE COSPLAY PROGRESS After gluing the pieces of the shell together, I sealed any seams with kwik seal so there wouldn’t be any gaps before I primed. Once I let the kwik seal fully dry, I dremeled all the seams to smooth them out.

BOWSETTE COSPLAY PROGRESS After cutting all the pieces of foam together for the shell, I glue the pieces together with contact cement. I wait until the glue gets nearly dry so it becomes tacky, then stick the corresponding edges together. I do my best to line up the registration marks (not 100% required since I’ll just trim off the excess edges at the end) as I’m sticking them together. After all the pieces are glued together, I trim the edges to create a smooth edge. I also shape the foam using a heat gun to create a more oval shell shap...

BOWSETTE COSPLAY PROGRESS Time lapse video of the making of the Bowsette shell! First I cut out the pieces of foam using a pattern I created from a large sphere foam I had laying around. In this video, you’ll see three pieces, which were later duplicated to create the other half of the shell for a total of six pieces to create the base. I cut them out of 10 mm EVA foam.
