Summer break over, it’s finally RAWE CEEK!!! We head down to Donington Park this Saturday, unfortunately not enough money or time for a test day this week so just gotta turn up Saturday and SEND IT

And finally... Round 7 footage from Pembrey. Starting P9 on the grid, I made a good start, tried to go down the inside of the car in front of me to get the jump into turn 1 but the gap quickly disappeared and I had to back out. The race was red flagged after a few laps due to another car coming off, hence the second grid start. Plenty of action and plenty of fun in this one. Tyres were getting hot towards the end and the car was getting loose. Finish P6, best result so far! Roll on Donington Park next week!

Right, finally got round to uploading the in car footage from round 6. This was the first race on the Sunday at Pembrey, starting from P14 on the grid, I was determined to make up some places. Trying to go round the outside of 2 cars at the hairpin saw me pushed out wide onto the grass. After that there was not much drama, made a few decent overtakes. Near the end the end we caught up to some back markers and that allowed me to close in on the car in front, I thought another position was mine until I saw the chequered flag come out! Finished ...

Here is the in car footage from Round 5 of the Type R Trophy. Editing skills lacking a bit, we will try to neaten up for the next video. It was a wet qualifying followed by a wet race, we qualified P16 which was a decent result, and the focus on the race was to keep the car out of the barrier. I was a bit over cautious on the start heading into turn 1 and lost a few places, made some back during the race and had some good clean battles. Bit of a “behind the scenes” … this was the night before Oulton Park. The mechanics that support us are local to the track so we took the opportunity to give the car some extra prep work. We fitted new brake callipers all round, new tyres on the front and re-set the alignment.

It’s world IBD day today. I was hospitalised and diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2014, in 2015 I had emergency surgery to have my bowels removed and it left me with an ileostomy. There are about 5 million other people out there who also suffer this shitty disease, so I am happy to be able to represent Crohn’s & Colitis UK on the car and give encouragement for other people like me to not let it stop them doing anything!

This was my best lap from Croft, the sound/data and video are out of sync because of a camera issue. There are plenty of places you can clearly see where I am losing time, and that wiggle under braking going into Sunny In felt a lot scarier than it looks on video!
