BOWSETTE COSPLAY PROGRESS I wanted to add more texture to the Bowsette tail rather than leaving it a flat yellow color, so I decided to add some scales! I used my airbrush machine and mixed some yellow, black and red to create a slightly darker tone of the fabric. I added shading to the areas around the bone spikes, and added U shaped scales all the way down to the end of the tail. Tedious process but well worth!

However, it was heavy even when only made with some stretch fabric and poly-fil, so I created a wire harness that attached to the metal on the dress. Normally I would have added some kind of hip harness instead which would have been more comfortable and sturdy, but considering this wasn’t a dress I could just throw away or was cheap, I didn’t want to ruin the integrity of the dress. BOWSETTE COSPLAY PROGRESS After soldering the grooves in the shell, I glued the foam spikes I made earlier onto the middle of each hexagon with contact cement. Once all the spikes were on, I cut out strips of 5mm EVA foam to create the edge of each spike. Once a strip was cut out, I would trim the edges of one side of the strip with some scissors to create a beveled edge, then heat the strip up with a heat gun and roll the foam strip to add roundness to the edge that I trimmed. BOWSETTE COSPLAY PROGRESS After all the pieces of the shell are glued together and the seams are filled and edges are dremeled, I drew hexagon shapes on the shell. Once that’s done, I use a soldering iron to carve the grooves into the shell. The hexagons don’t have to be perfectly shaped throughout, so I just made sure the middle column of hexagons were even and angled the rest on the sides as I got closer to the edges (some weren’t even hexagons anymore since they have to be large enough to fit the foam spikes).

SQUID GAME GUARD COSPLAY PROGRESS Starting on the bodysuit! I made a pattern out of duct tape for a bodysuit, then cut out the pieces along where I wanted the seam lines to be. Then I used these pattern pieces to cut out my fabric pieces. I also cut out pieces for thigh highs, sleeves, and a hood. For the straps, I cut out pieces from black pleather. Lots of straps everywhere!
